Everyone starts the same way: a free Longevity Analysis. Which of these you end up in comes out of what it measures.
01 · Start here
Your start at The Strength Laboratory.
02 · Options
Coming from a class-based studio? You will recognise the format — book a session, show up, work alongside seven other people. What is different is what we measure while you are in the room, and the option to add private coaching on top whenever you want it.
Eight people, your own station, and a trainer with you the whole session.
The class schedule, with one-on-one sessions added in.
One on one, every session.
All of it is by appointment.
03 · The measurement
Six markers, read on instruments, in twenty-five minutes.
Strength — read on a hand dynamometer. This is how researchers measure whole-body strength, because your grip is how you pick things up and it tracks with the rest of you. You are not training your hands. Lean muscle mass — how much muscle tissue you are actually carrying. Body fat — a bioimpedance reading, not a guess made from your height and weight. Balance — standing on one leg with your eyes closed, timed. Posture — a movement screen that finds what your body is compensating for, and why something aches. Resting heart rate — taken at rest, before anything else happens.
Those six readings produce three things you take home with you.
Your Longevity Score, out of 600.
Your letter grade.

And your biological age, which is not the number on your license. It is the age your body is currently performing at, worked out from what those six instruments read.
That last number is our own index, built on our own scoring. The six readings underneath it are the actual measurements.
Your eating gets two numbers of its own — how many calories to eat and how many to burn.
Six weeks later we run the whole thing again, the same way, on the same instruments. The question is never whether you feel better. It is whether the numbers moved.
Two of the six are direct readings and the other four are estimates, and we tell you which is which. What makes them worth something is that they are taken the same way every time, so the difference between today and six weeks from now is real even where the single number is an estimate.
No one else is doing that.
04 · The guarantee
Follow the program exactly the way we lay it out for you, and watch your body transform within the next six weeks.
Brandon Locatell, Founder
We say six weeks because that is when we measure you again. The thing that settles the promise is already on the calendar before you start.
05 · Who this is for
This was built for men and women from their thirties into their seventies and beyond. People who have never trained, and people who used to. People with an old shoulder, an old knee, or a surgery they still think about. People who do not have five days a week and are not going to pretend otherwise.
It is probably not the right fit if you want a place to train on your own, at your own pace, without direction. Every session here is planned, supervised and recorded.
And if you are happy with where your body is and what you are doing, you do not need me.
If you have just finished physical therapy, are carrying an old injury, or train with a disability, that has its own page here.

Twenty-five minutes. No charge. Then we talk about what fits.
